First fix to final bead across Jersey. Studwork, floors, roofs, staircases, linings and the fine joinery that finishes a room off, all set out properly and cut on site to suit the building rather than forced to fit. Most Jersey houses are granite, timber-framed extensions or a century of alterations stacked on top of each other, so nothing is truly square and everything gets scribed.

Studwork, joists, noggins, floor decks and roof timbers set out square and level so every trade after us has something true to work to.
Doors, architrave, skirting, boxing and ironmongery fitted tight, with the joints scribed rather than filled.
One-off pieces made to the room: shelving, window seats, panelling, boxed-in beams and alcove work.
Rotten sills, sagging floors, dropped doors and old work that has moved, all put right rather than replaced wholesale.
Everything from a single sticking door to the full carcass of a loft conversion. Domestic work is the bulk of it: floors, studwork, doors, skirting, wardrobes, staircases and the joinery that finishes a renovation. If it is timber and it needs cutting properly, it is our sort of job.
Both, depending on the piece. Fitted work is nearly always cut and scribed on site, because Jersey houses move and nothing sits perfectly square. Larger one-off pieces are made up first and then fitted and adjusted in the room.
Yes, and we do it constantly. We are used to sequencing first fix around electrics and plumbing so nothing gets buried or cut through, and we will talk directly to whoever else is on the job rather than leaving you to relay it.
Yes. Cutting is kept outside or in one contained area wherever possible, offcuts and dust are cleared at the end of each day and the house is left usable. It is not a small thing when you are living in the middle of the work.
No. We come out, look at the job properly and give you a written price with no obligation. If there are two ways to do something at different costs, you get told both.
